Bio

Education: Graduated from South Houston High School in 2014. Began his college career at the University of Houston before earning his Associate’s degree from San Jacinto College. Later graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminology from Texas A&M–Kingsville in 2019. Playing Career: Coach Dyer played basketball professionally in Vancouver, Canada. Also played 2 years in the TBL for Dallas Skyline. Coach Dyer signed an athletic scholarship with the University of Houston to play Football and Track & Field in addition to participating on the basketball team. He later transferred to San Jac Junior College where he was a part of the basketball team that won a conference championship, made it to the JUCO Elite 8, and ended the season with a 32-2 record. After San Jac, Dyer played basketball at Texas A&M Kingsville for two years. In high school he was a standout Basketball, Football and Track athlete at South Houston High School. Four-star football recruit by ESPN and 247Sports. Named to the Waco Tribunes Texas Top 100 and VYPE Magazines 2014 Houston Hot 100. Made the watch list for the Guy V. Lewis Award in basketball. Earned various district awards in football, basketball, and track during his career at South Houston including Basketball District MVP. Coach Dyer still holds the school record for high jump at 7’2” and was a back-to-back district high jump champion with various appearances in the Texas Track and Field State Championships. Coaching Career: Coach Dyer is entering his 4th year as a high school coach. The first three years of his career were spent coaching basketball at his alma mater, South Houston High School. This year marks his first season coaching football, where he will serve as the Freshman WR/DB Coach.
